Asia: Rate Fears Hit Chinese Markets

Elsewhere in Asia, markets were mixed. Taiwan's Taiex rose 0.8%, to 8926.34, and South Korea's Kospi finished 0.3% lower, at 1854.01. In India, the Bombay Sensitive Index lost 0.2%, to 17,339.31.
