LOS ANGELES -- These finds will make your leisure time a little more enjoyable. The first one caters to your pampered side and the second caters to the sport in you. The blender is idea for fresh, healthy smoothies. The sleeping bag is designed to wear while camping. Gadget Grrl says travel can be tough, so here are a few different ways to unwind.
Staying healthy on the road isn't easy. While traveling, I usually slam 50mg of zinc, wear a mask and slather myself in Purell on the planes. But when I'm home, I try to increase my immunity with fresh juice and smoothies prior to my trips.
What I like about this small, personal blender is that it's easy to load, use and clean.
Because you are using glass containers (mason jars) instead of plastic, you don't get that
off-gassing that occurs with some plastics.
I've created all kinds of smoothies with this blender. Banana, flax seeds, yogurt
and a spoonful of peanut butter make one of the most compact and nutritious breakfasts.
The motor is powerful enough for most frozen fruits. Note: Ice cubes did not do as well
in this blender, but if you add cold water and/or fruit juice along with the frozen fruit
it will blend just fine.
If you travel to rough terrain or if you plan on visiting rough terrain, this new sleeping
bag might be for you. Check out the photo and you'll see that this is no ordinary
sleeping bag. This one actually goes with you, so in case you're confronted by bears
in the middle of the night, you won't have to leave the cozy, comfort of your tent when you attempt a quick get-away.
