Gold Prices Drop; Dollar Rises vs. Euro

The streetTracks Gold Shares(GLD - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr), which holds bars of gold bullion, was down almost 3%. One euro was buying $1.5482, down from $1.5637 on Wednesday. The dollar was buying 103.83 Japanese yen, marginally changed from 103.87 yen previously. The British pound was selling for $1.9765, down from $1.9889. The CurrencyShares Euro Trust(FXE - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) was down 1%, and the CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust(FXY - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) was lower by 0.1%. The CurrencyShares British Pound Sterling(FXB - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) was off 0.5%.
The dollar is mixed against other major currencies.
Bullion futures are up $4 at $932.70 an ounce.
The euro rises to $1.585 from $1.5832 on Friday.
