Bears Make Statement in Poll

03/31/08 - 02:26 PM EDT

David Morrow

The bulls' attempt to extend their hold on TheStreet.com RealMoney Barometer poll has failed.

Last week the bulls notched their first victory in the poll since Feb. 25. But a mostly down week in the market last week didn't do much for bullish sentiment. The bears took back the title with a 45% share of the vote -- 1,033 of the 2,292 cast.

The bulls got 31%, or 710 votes; neutral registered 549 votes, or 24%.

In the sectors, precious metals was tapped as most likely to rise this week; investment banks and brokers was chosen as most likely to decline.

Below are the complete poll results.
