Three Biotechs Join Stocks Under $10 Watch List

03/12/08 - 07:09 AM EDT

Larsen Kusick

One of the names that we recommend investors keep an eye on is Seattle Genetics SGEN, which has a strong research platform and attractive pipeline candidates that are concentrated in cancer therapies.

Another potential winner is Dynavax TechnologiesDVAX, a San Francisco-based biotech that focuses on drugs aimed at improving the body's immune response to hepatitis, cancer and even ragweed allergies.

A final play we view as having a reduced-risk profile is DurectDRRX, which uses its proprietary drug delivery technologies to improve existing pain-relief drug ingredients such as oxycodone.

We will keep you updated on these three biotech stocks and more names as they appear on our watch list, for the Stocks Under $10 model portfolio.

Seattle Genetics, Dynavax Technologies and Durect are on the Watch List for TheStreet.com Stocks Under $10 model portfolio. Frank Curzio and Larsen Kusick write regularly on stocks priced under $10 a share, such as PolyOnePOL, UnisysUIS and MotorolaMOT for TheStreet.com.
