I always choose stocks rather than exchange-traded funds, but I noticed that iShares S&P U.S. Preferred Stock Index (PFF) has a 7-9% dividend and trades in the middle of its 52-week range. Is this one place where an ETF strategy would work, or is choosing one stock, like Ford Pref. still the better choice?
