Traders, enjoy the three-day weekend, because earnings season will arrive in full force Tuesday when Wall Street gets back to work.
A number of influential names are on the schedule, including Bank of America (BAC Quote - Cramer on BAC - Stock Picks), Ambac (ABK Quote - Cramer on ABK - Stock Picks), DuPont (DD Quote - Cramer on DD - Stock Picks) and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ Quote - Cramer on JNJ - Stock Picks). UAL (UAUA Quote - Cramer on UAUA - Stock Picks), Wachovia (WB Quote - Cramer on WB - Stock Picks), Apple (AAPL Quote - Cramer on AAPL - Stock Picks) and Texas Instruments (TXN Quote - Cramer on TXN - Stock Picks) are also among those expected to post their numbers. The economic calendar will be light, featuring only two weekly reports on retail sales, one from Redbook Research and the other from the International Council of Shopping Centers and UBS. On TheStreet.com, Priya Ganapati will have a preview on what to expect from Apple's postclose report, and Bob Steyer will discuss whether big drugmakers are just getting started with outsourcing their manufacturing. The U.S. market will be closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
