Exploring Other Second Life Podcasts

The second show is more of a group effort. It's called the Podmafia Podcast, and though I have yet to find an episode where Joe Pesci puts a guy's head in a vice, it's a lot of fun to listen to. It's hosted by Second Lifers Gomen Desoto, better known as DJ Gomen in world, Stuart Warf, a fantastic Second Life builder, and Yxes Delacroix, formerly of The Goddess and Banana podcast. All of them are long-time Second Lifers who deal in very different parts of the in-world community, giving the show multiple points of view on different happenings in game.

For some reason, these "verbal jam session" podcasts, where a group of people sit around together and jaw about Second Life have been very appealing to me lately. Podmafia Podcast has just this sort of "gang of friends hanging out at a bar" feel to it, with the three of them cracking jokes, making observations, and just having a generally good time together. You can tell that they really enjoy working together and sometimes just that energy is enough to make what might otherwise be a dull topic interesting.
