Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Thursday evening:

CommScope (CTV Quote - Cramer on CTV - Stock Picks): "Very good coaxial cable company. I've always liked that business. It's coming down. But ... you have to go with Corning (GLW Quote - Cramer on GLW - Stock Picks). ... Tech stocks hold up better than most. ... Corning's your play, not CommScope." Cramer owns Corning for Action Alerts PLUS, his charitable trust.

Synopsys(SNPS Quote - Cramer on SNPS - Stock Picks): "It's tech, so my bias is to like it, but if I'm gonna ... be in software, I want to go with the biggest possible names with the best balance sheets. I'm gonna send you to Oracle (ORCL Quote - Cramer on ORCL - Stock Picks). ... I've been trading Synopsis since 1990," Cramer said, but right now "I'm just looking for best-of-breed action."

Campbell Soup (CPB Quote - Cramer on CPB - Stock Picks): "The idea that they might get rid of Godiva tells me that Campbell Soup is waking up." Cramer said that in terms of companies getting takeover bids, "Campbell's can do it. ... On the fundamentals, it's OK. So I guess what I'm saying is I've got two reasons to own Campbell's."

Southern Copper (PCU Quote - Cramer on PCU - Stock Picks): "A lot of these mineral stocks are being hit by funds that are blowing up that own these. ... A lot of them own PCU. ... You've got to wait until $90 before I would buy it, and the reason why is because the holders are so bad. ... But this one has a 6% dividend. When it gets down to my level ... pull the trigger."
