Jim Cramer's Stop Trading! Buy Aecom

Stock quotes in this article: AEC , FWLT , T , VZ , MDC , BZH , CTX

People who want to play the notion of a bottom in housing should buy Centex (CTX Quote), Jim Cramer said Wednesday on CNBC's Stop Trading! segment.

Cramer said Centex is now the "quality homebuilder" because it has "taken charges" and, unlike rivals like Beazer (BZH Quote), has been "realistic" in assessing the demand for land and houses. Centex and MDC (MDC Quote) are "ahead of the curve."

Cramer likes Aecom (AEC Quote) better than Foster Wheeler (FWLT Quote) right now among the infrastructure plays, because of the "lumpy" Foster Wheeler earnings report earlier Wednesday. Cramer said Aecom has been "more consistent." Parrying a question about the run-up in Aecom's shares since last week's Minnesota bridge collapse, Cramer maintained Aecom may not get a call tomorrow to fix the Brooklyn Bridge, but even so the company is "more likely to get that call than Cisco (CSCO Quote) or Intel (INTC Quote)."

Cramer also continues to like "armageddon stocks" AT&T (T Quote) and Verizon (VZ Quote).
