Editor's note: Every morning, James Altucher presents the most timely, topical posts from the Web's best business blogs.

This week's Barron's Roundup has the top insider purchase of the week, the top global stocks to buy in the wake of possible U.S. collapse, and the companies you should sell puts in, as well as why Bob Doll is not worried right now. And with a name like that, you wouldn't be either.

Here's another look at some good defensive stocks for this market. The sad but true story is that in a recession people will eat cheese (Kraft (KFT Quote - Cramer on KFT - Stock Picks)), drink sugared water (PepsiCo (PEP Quote - Cramer on PEP - Stock Picks)), and smoke (Altria (MO Quote - Cramer on MO - Stock Picks)). Oh, and brush their teeth (Procter & Gamble (PG Quote - Cramer on PG - Stock Picks)).

There are a ton of stocks on the System Trades of the Day list. And I can tell you from six years of experience with these strategies that this is exactly the type of environment where these mean-reversion strategies work best.

Not only can I get in a gratuitous mention of Dendreon (DNDN Quote - Cramer on DNDN - Stock Picks) in here, it actually has real value: 24/7 Wall St. analyzes Dendreon's upcoming earnings. Note: earnings are meaningless for this company, but 24/7 looks at all the other issues that could come up in the earnings announcement.

Did you know Samsung's factory where they make their flash stuff was down on Friday? Did you know Samsung makes the flash chips for the iPhone? Did you know that Samsung's competitor SanDisk (SNDK Quote - Cramer on SNDK - Stock Picks) might benefit from this? Because I didn't.

It's summer. So of course it makes sense to look at stocks related to the game of ice hockey.

Roger Ehrenberg has a profile on leadership using NFL coach Bill Walsh as an example.

We've all taken a sort of foggy look at ValueClick's (VCLK Quote - Cramer on VCLK - Stock Picks) future. We wondered whether it really could be like a Doubleclick (but replacing "Double" with "Value"). But now Derrick Shields takes a closer look at ValueClick's future.

Well, everyone thought Accredited Home Lenders (LEND Quote - Cramer on LEND - Stock Picks) was being given a new lease on life on Friday (a.k.a. Armageddon day), but the Microcap Speculator begs to differ.

Howard Lindzon, who never saw a trend he didn't like, wonders: if Barack Obama was a stock, would he be a Nasdaq or NYSE stock?

StocksandBlogs.com believes Tiffany's (TIF Quote - Cramer on TIF - Stock Picks) is a diamond in the rough.

Dr. Brett wonders whether we're in a bull or bear market.

What are the top-selling stock market books right this second.

Try to guess before you look: Which years has the stock market had a total crash?

Unusual stocks of the day: stocks that rose on unusual volume yesterday, and stocks with unusual option activity. These are all potential breakout plays.
