Editor's Note: In this feature from Stockpickr, we highlight lists of stocks that have made new highs, lows or seen other unusual activity.

Rising on Unusual Volume: United Rentals(URI) closed up 1.9% on trading more than eight times its three-month average, after Cerebrus acquired the company for $4 billion in cash. The stock closed up 61 cents to $32.98.

Biggest % Gainers: Gigabeam(GGBM) soared 73% after announcing it received purchase orders for 24 additional WiFiber links from wireless telecom company One Velocity. GigaBeam shares closed up $2.05 to $4.05.

52-Week Highs: Companhia Vale do Rio Doce(RIO) climbed 4.2% to a 52-week high, after the miner partnered with a Norwegian company to develop a new alumina refinery in northern Brazil. Shares gained $2.15 Monday to $53.10.

Biggest % Losers: After more than doubling in price Friday, shares of Nucryst Pharmaceuticals(NCST) plummeted 30% Monday, after SunTrust Robinson Humphrey downgraded the stock to neutral from buy. The stock gave back a chunk of Friday's gains, closing down $1.74 to $4.10.

52-Week Lows: Netflix(NFLX) slumped 12% to a 52-week low, after cutting by $1 the price for its DVD rentals to better compete with rival Blockbuster(BBI). Netflix's stock slipped $2.36 to $17.37.
