52-Week Lows: Office Depot(ODP) fell 3.5% Monday after Credit Suisse cut 2007 EPS estimates to $2.15 from $2.27. Credit Suisse blames the poor outlook on no near-term catalyst, and value realization taking longer to develop. The business-supplies retailer closed down $1.17 to $32.32. Biggest % Losers: U.S. Energy Systems(USEY) shares plunged 44% after its board suspended the CEO of British subsidiary UK Energy Systems and warned it could be forced to file for bankruptcy. The stock closed down $1 Monday to $1.27. Biggest % Gainers: US Xpress Enterprises(XPRSA) surged 33% Monday after the trucking company was offered to be taken private by top executives. Wachovia analyst Justin Yagerman believes the trucking industry as a whole will rise "due to continued interest by private money." US Xpress closed up $4.74 to $18.94. 52-Week Highs: America First Apartment Investors(APRO) jumped to a 52-week high Monday after the REIT agreed to be acquired by an affiliate of Sentinel Real Estate. The $523 million deal for $25.30 a share pushed shares upward 11% to $24.99. Rising on Unusual Volume: Omniture(OMTR) added 8.3% as shares traded at five times average volume, after rumors surfaced the company could be bought. On Monday, the Internet-related advertising company closed up $1.73 to $22.39. Latest Activist Situations: In a 13D filing Monday afternoon, J. & W. Seligman disclosed a 5.2% stake in Catalyst Semiconductor(CATS). The firm said the shares of the company are significantly undervalued, and said in order to increase shareholder value, the company should buy back 1 million to 2 million additional shares.
