Fired Wal-Mart(WMT Quote - Cramer on WMT - Stock Picks) executive Julie Roehm is lashing back at her former employer, accusing CEO Lee Scott of violating the company's strict ethics policy, according to published media reports.
Julie Roehm, a marketing executive who was fired last December, says Scott and his wife often used private airplanes provided by Irwin Jacobs, a financier and Wal-Mart supplier, according to an AP report. Roehm also claims Jacobs helped Scott get a discount on a large diamond for his wife, and that other top executives at the world's largest retailer accepted favors from suppliers, the report said. Roehm made the allegations in documents filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court in Detroit. Both Wal-Mart and Jacobs denied the allegations, the report said. Roehm filed a wrongful termination suit against her former employer in January. In March, Wal-Mart filed a countersuit and claimed Roehm had an affair with a subordinate and accepted gifts from suppliers. Wal-Mart shares finished Friday up 26 cents at $46.91.Featured Photo Galleries
