Analysts expect the company's bone cancer drug, Junovan, to be in high demand when it is approved and launched by the end of the year.

Rising on Unusual Volume: Verigy(VRGY Quote) was up 20% as it traded 1800% higher than normal volume. Better-than-expected second-quarter results and third-quarter guidance above expectations ignited the unusual volume.

52-Week Highs: Cleveland-Cliffs(CLF Quote) shares were up $7.33 or 10% to close at $78.13 after takeover speculation resurfaced. The Cleveland based iron ore pellet maker became recharged after the aborted Alcan(AL Quote) and Alcoa(AA Quote) deal.

Latest-Activist-Situations: In a 13D filing, Elliott Associates and related funds disclosed a 6.3% stake in Packeteer(PKTR Quote), and pushed for a prompt sale of the company.

Biggest % Losers: Iomai(IOMI Quote) shares plunged 39% to $2.58 after a Phase I clinical trial revealed the biopharmaceutical company's flu vaccine patch was not as effective as typical injected vaccine.

52-Week Lows: Sterling Financial(SLFI Quote), the Lancaster, Pa. bank, said that an investigation into one of its affiliates turned up a "sophisticated loan scheme." The stock dropped 39% on the news to $9.93.
