Arrow International (ARRO Quote) said its board formed a special committee to explore and evaluate strategic alternatives meant to enhance shareholder value.
The company, a maker of catheters and other devices for critical and cardiac care, has hired Lazard Freres to provide financial advisory services and Dechert LLP for legal services. Arrow didn't say whether its options could include a sale of all or part of the company.
