Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Thursday evening:

Geron(GERN Quote): "Way too speculative for me. Why buy ... when Celgene(CELG Quote) has got less risk and more reward?"

Level 3(LVLT Quote): "Using incredibly low rates on 10-year ... refinancing, using equity instead of debt. ... I'm telling you to back up the truck* at 6 smackers."

FuelCell(FCEL Quote): "You know I'm not a fan. I gotta give you the old bear. ... There is only one alternative play that we have endorsed. It's the hottest, it's the best, it's First Solar(FSLR Quote)."

Acadia Pharmaceuticals(ACAD Quote): "I think the stock goes higher. I am not going to recommend it though because the deal would be so much greater if you were in on it [the recent offering priced at $15.50]."

Saks(SKS Quote): "I would buy the stock. I like VF Corp.(VFC Quote), I like J.C. Penney(JCP Quote), I like Ralph Lauren(RL Quote)."

Inergy(NRGY Quote): "Actually higher-yielding than Kinder Morgan(KMI Quote) ... wholesale distribution business generates a huge amount of cash flow."

Monster(MNST Quote): "Clear and utter miss. ... Has Monster lost its edge? I think that a newspaper conglomerate could buy Monster. But they won't pull the trigger because they're too backward-looking."

American Tower(AMT Quote): "I reiterate my buy on American Tower, and anyone who wants to see a great cash-flow business, look at the cell-phone tower business."

Vaalco Energy(EGY Quote): "At 5 bucks I like it ." But Cramer said "this is speculative" so you need to be cautious.
