Assurant(AIZ Quote) will replace Realogy(H Quote) in the S&P 500 Index after the close of trading on April 9.
Realogy is being taken private in an acquisition by an affiliate of Apollo Management, which is expected to close on or about that date, pending final approvals. Shares of Assurant rose 3.7% in after-hours trading to $55.95; the stock would be expected to rise as index funds mirroring the index's components buy shares.- Loading Comments...
