Wednesday's ETF Winners & Losers

The B2B Internet HOLDRs (BHH Quote) exchange-traded fund was one of the session's best performers as holding CheckFree (CKFR Quote) was adding 2.1%. The ETF was up 4 cents, or 1.7%, to $2.34.

The PowerShares Lux Nanotech (PXN Quote) ETF was also gaining ground after holding FEI (FEIC Quote) surged 23.8% on a strong fourth-quarter earnings report and first-quarter guidance. The ETF was higher by 29 cents, or 1.7%, to $17.38.

The Internet Infrastructure HOLDRs (IIH Quote) was adding 1.2% after Vitria Technology (VITR Quote) rose 5.5%. The ETF was gaining 7 cents to $5.73.

Bundled securities tracking energy were the big losers Wednesday as crude oil relinquished early gains and dropped $1.17 to close at $57.71 a barrel. The iPath Goldman Sachs Crude Oil (OIL Quote) ETF was recently down 2.3% to $35.51. The United States Oil (USO Quote) ETF was shedding 1.9% to $48.26, and the SPDR Oil & Gas Equipment & Services (XES Quote) ETF was lower by 1.4% to $29.54.

The Pharmaceuticals HOLDRs (PPH Quote) was also lower as Forest Laboratories (FRX Quote) was falling 4.2%. The ETF was down by 65 cents, or 0.8%, to $79.04.
