Best of the Best
However, the Greenbergs' approach is gentle and more modernized, utilizing diamond crystals for the exfoliation, which are less damaging to skin.
Diamond peel machines are found in more than 20 countries. About 5,000 machines are in high-end spas around the U.S., says Helen. The treatment is suitable for people of all ages, and it helps with aging or sun-damaged skin, acne scarring and acne skin pigmentation marks, stretch marks, wrinkles and enlarged pores. The organic peel, which took several years to perfect, is the latest version of the diamond peel. The procedure uses grains instead of the crystals. The grains contain lignins, a chemical compound derived from trees, plants and agricultural crops.Check Into Medispas
Due to increasing demand, Diamond International is expanding its U.S presence. The first American branch -- a "medispa" -- opened two weeks ago in Beverly Hills, and the next one will open in New York City within the year, says Pavia. These medispas were first opened by the company in Adelaide, Australia, in September 2005, followed by locations in Melbourne and Sydney. Diamond International has been approached by several financial institutions to back the opening of the international medispas, Pavia continues, but the company itself is financing the rollout in California and New York. "We want to create an environment ... for diamond equipment and products as a showcase, to let people see you don't have to do anything to harm the skin -- that you can have great results with natural rejuvenation," Helen explains. Diamond International is also looking at expansion to London, Paris, Dubai, South America, Japan and Russia, she adds. The Cost of Beauty
The biomesosculpture treatment lasts about an hour and requires about 10 sessions to really see results, Helen explains. It costs about $200 to $300 for each treatment. Client Anita Waxman, a theater producer who has experienced the biomesolift treatment, feels the cost is well justified. "I feel like I'm stopping the feeling of getting older. Now when I look in the mirror it doesn't hit me in the face. Since I got the procedure, people ask me if I had a face-lift," she claims. When asked if the treatment was painful, Waxman responds that it feels akin to a massage. So before you go under the knife, considering trying out this new, painless procedure that could help give your skin stunning results.Enjoy the Good Life?
