XM (XMSR - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) says Honda (HMC - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) will factory-install its radios on 650,000 vehicles in the current 2007 model year, up from 550,000 in 2006. The XM satellite radios are available as an option on most of Honda's top-selling vehicles, and the feature comes as standard equipment on Acuras, Honda's premium brand. The increasing popularity of Honda and Toyota (TM - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) cars with U.S. auto buyers has helped offset the declining sales of XM's other big auto partner GM (GM - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr). Meanwhile, pay-radio rival Sirius (SIRI - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) has had greater success in the retail market, which has helped counter the weaker performance from automakers including Ford (F - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) and DaimlerChrysler (DCX - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr). XM shares rose 19 cents to $14.26, and Sirius was up 2 cents to $4.17 in pre-market trading Thursday.
