Lumera Still on Fire

Lumera (LMRA Quote) soared Tuesday morning for the second straight day.

Shares of the Bothell, Wash., nanotech player jumped 36% in early trading, a day after they more than tripled Monday.

The sharp share gains came on the heels of Monday's claim that Lumera had "completed successful testing of its millimeter wave wireless bridge that will enable government and commercial entities to transmit vast amounts of data via a variety of high speed telecommunications networks."

Shares of Lumera jumped $3.58, or 216%, to $5 Monday on volume of 7 million shares. Average daily volume in the $112 million market-cap company is 149,000 shares.

Lumera rose $1.65 to $6.65 early Tuesday.
