Federal Signal Goes Bronto

Federal Signal (FSS Quote) sold its first Bronto Skylift F 101 high level articulated platform to Maes Hoogwerkers in Belgium.

"Our newest Bronto platform expands the aerial device performance envelope to meet the evolving mission-critical needs of municipal and industrial customers," the company said.

The Bronto Skylift F 101 HLA delivers a maximum vertical reach of 34 stories and a maximum horizontal reach of 75 feet at a height of 20 stories. In addition, this new Bronto features telemetric capabilities that enable remote product diagnosis and adjustment -- without having to send a technician out to the customer location.

The Bronto product line includes more than 30 different platform models -- with working heights from 52 feet to 331 feet, Federal Signal said.

Since its introduction in 1961, Bronto has delivered more than 5,000 aerials for use in rescue and fire fighting, and in industrial contracting. In operation in 120 countries and on all continents, the Bronto advances security and well-being from the tropics to the Arctic Circle.
