CheckFree's CKFR Chief Accounting Officer is resigning from the electronic payment company, it announced Wednesday. In an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Norcross, Georgia-based company said that Jack Browne, Jr. will leave the position on Oct. 15. Browne has accepted a CAO job at an unnamed private company that plans to go public in the near future. Browne will remain as a consultant with CheckFree until Nov. 15 to assist with the company's first-quarter earnings report.
