BEA Systems to Miss 10-Q Deadline

BEA Systems(BEAS Quote - Cramer on BEAS - Stock Picks) will not meet the Sept. 11 deadline for filing its second-quarter 10-Q, the business software vendor announced after Wednesday's closing bell.

Like scores of other companies, BEA is conducting an internal review of its historical stock grants.

BEA announced the review, which was initiated by its board, last month when it reported second-quarter earnings.

The company said it will file the 10-Q "as soon as practicable."

Shares were off 10 cents to $13.80 in recent after-hours trading on Instinet after losing 24 cents during the regular session.
