Heico(HEI Quote) climbed when the Hollywood, Fla.-based company, which makes aerospace, defense and electronics products, reported a rise in third-quarter income. Heico also raised its fiscal 2006 guidance. Heico rose $1.65, or 5.4%, to $32.50.
SeaChange International(SEAC Quote) surged after the Acton, Mass.-based digital video-systems company swung to a second-quarter profit. The company also said second-half revenue should be modestly higher than the first half." Shares climbed $1.28, or 16.4%, to $9.08. Citi Trends(CTRN Quote) gained after the Savannah, Ga.-based urban fashion apparel company saw a boost in comparable-store sales for August. Total net sales for the four-week period ended Aug. 26 increased 31.5% to $32.6 million. Shares rose $2.08, or 6.4%, to $34.50. LTX Corp.(LTXX Quote) stumbled after the Norwood, Mass.-based semiconductor-test products maker predicted its first-quarter results will miss estimates. LTX forecast first-quarter earnings of 7 cents to 9 cents a share, on $51 million to $53 million in revenue. Analysts are calling for earnings of 16 cents a share on sales of $66.8 million. Shares tumbled 49 cents, or 8.7%, to $5.16. Advo(AD Quote) fell when Valassis(VCI Quote) sued to break its merger with the Windsor, Conn.-based direct mail media company, claiming Advo misrepresented its financial health. Advo sank $16.40, or 44.6%, to $20.40, while Valassis gained $1.74, or 8.3%, to $22.75. JDSU(JDSU Quote) plummeted in late trading after the Milpitas, Calif., optical-components maker offered first-quarter guidance that's below Wall Street's expectations.
