Silicon Storage Technology (SSTI Quote) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM Quote) have signed a new development and licensing agreement covering flash technology.
Under the terms of the agreement, Taiwan Semiconductor will license Silicon Storage's next-generation 90-nanometer SuperFlash technology as part of its embedded flash memory portfolio. "Our 90nm SuperFlash technology represents a significant extension to our reach in the embedded flash market," said Bing Yeh, president and CEO of Silicon Storage. "The development of this next-generation memory cell is consistent with our roadmap of scaling the SuperFlash technology to finer process geometries.
