Qimonda is the memory-chip division of Germany's Infineon. The deal involves the sale of 63 million shares, making it one of the larger IPOs this year. Infineon, which will own about 80% of Qimonda after the offering, filed a registration for the IPO in July.
The lead underwriters on the IPO are Credit Suisse(CSR), J.P. Morgan Chase(JPM) and Citigroup(C). A spokesman for Credit Suisse could not immediately comment on the how the deal was faring. The past year has been a rough one for Qimonda and other makers of memory chips.
