First Advantage Buys Inquest

First Advantage(FADV Quote) said Monday it has acquired Inquest, a Los Gatos, Calif.-based regional employment screening company.

St. Petersburg, Fla.-based First Advantage, a provider of credit information and employer services, plans to leverage Inquest's local presence to expand its penetration in the northern California region. Financial terms weren't disclosed.

"As we continue to expand into specific regional markets, we appreciate having a proven service-oriented team to represent our organization and deliver the industry-leading platform of hiring services that First Advantage offers," the company said.

First Advantage is a unit of business information provider First American(FAF Quote).
