Renal Care Guides in Line

Renal Care Group (RCI Quote) guided in line for the year ended Dec. 31.

The Nashville, Tenn., specialized dialysis services company expects to earn $1.81 a share to $1.83 a share, including expenses of about 19 cents a share related to the pending acquisition of the company by Fresenius Medical Care (FMS Quote). After adjusting for charges, the company expects to earn $2 to $2.02 a share. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call were estimating earnings of $2.02 a share for the year 2005.

Renal Care expects to report net revenue of $1.5 billion to $1.6 billion for the year, up from $1.34 billion a year ago. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call were estimating revenue of $1.57 billion.

The company expects its margins to be consistent with the margins it reported for the first three quarters of 2005. In addition, Renal Care expects to report same-market treatment growth of approximately 3% for the full year along with same-market revenue growth of approximately 5.8%.

On Wednesday, Renal Care dropped 2 cents to $47.62.
