Kintera Names Oper Chief

Kintera (KNTA Quote) named Richard LaBarbera chief operating officer.

LaBarbera will be responsible for the strategy and execution of Kintera's business operations, the San Diego online charity software company said.

LaBarbera was chief operations and services officer at Echopass and senior vice president and general manager of Sybase's (SY Quote) enterprise solutions division, which was responsible for $800 million in revenue.

"Richard LaBarbera brings to Kintera a strong track record in successfully managing business operations and specifically, growing revenue while reducing expenses," said CEO Harry E. Gruber. "His experience in executive positions at leading technology companies and more recently, at customer relationship management (CRM) software as a service providers, makes him a valuable addition to the Kintera management team."

On Monday, Kintera fell 6 cents to $2.57.
