Shares of SI International (SINT Quote) were rising after the Reston, Va., IT-services company said 2006 earnings should be in line with the consensus expectation and that revenue should beat the forecast.

The company projected revenue of between $470 million and $476 million and earnings of $1.63 to $1.67. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call are expecting a profit of $1.66 a share. For the fiscal first quarter, SI International forecast revenue of $101 million to $105 million.

SI expects earnings of 35 cents to 37 cents a share for the quarter. Analysts are looking for earnings of 36 cents a share. SI International was tacking on 97 cents, or 3.4%, to $29.91.
