Apple(AAPL Quote) put a fresh portfolio of television shows on its iTunes download service via an agreement with NBC Universal.

Apple said it's selling episodes and segments of series including "Law & Order," "The Tonight Show," "Battlestar Galactica," and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," among others, at $1.99 apiece over the music and video Internet program. The shows can be viewed on a computer or through its iPod player.

The new shows will be available starting Tuesday, with current shows going up the day after they air, Apple said.

NBC Universal is owned by General Electric(GE Quote) and Vivendi(V Quote). Apple previously announced a content alliance for iTunes video with Disney(DIS Quote).

Apple said more than 3 million videos have been downloaded off iTunes since the format's debut on Oct. 12.

Apple shares were up $1.87, or 2.6%, to $73.69 Tuesday. They were also supported Tuesday when UBS raised its price target to $86 from $74 and upped its 2006 earnings estimate to $2.10 a share from $1.85.
