Here's what Jim Cramer had to say about some of the stocks that callers offered up during the "Mad Money Lightning Round" Wednesday evening:

General Motors(GM): "I don't like the way it's looking. What happened to [Kirk] Kerkorian?"

Staples(SPLS): "Best of breed. We like best of breed here. We think Staples goes higher."

Corning(GLW): "You're at the top end of the range. ... If it comes back to 18 maybe you jump back in."

Iowa Telecom(IWA): "That is in a very contested market. .. SellSellSell. The competition is too great."

Cyberonics(CYBX): "Controversial CEO hurting the stock. Otherwise it would be two thumbs up."

Kodak(EK): "Mansion of pain? Look out, here comes the wrecking ball."

Merge Tech(METI): "I think you got room to run with Merge."

Agere Systems(AGR): "This company is hostage to Cisco(CSCO). ... I release you from owning that stock."

eBay(EBAY): "I want you to sell eBay. I don't like that Skype acquisition. ... You got a chance. Get out of the House of Pain."

Elan(ELN): "I do not think that Elan is a buy here."

Given Imaging(GIVN): "When I hear wireless, I'm always gonna revert to Broadcom (BRCM)."

Fannie Mae(FNM): "If you really like that idea, go buy some Countrywide Financial(CFC)."

Phoenix(PNX): "When I think about insurance, annuities, wealth management, I am always going to go back to tried and true. You gotta buy Pru(PRU) and you gotta buy Met(MET)."

Ford(F): "SellSellSell. Don'tBuyDon'tBuyDon'tBuy. The House of Pain."

Georgia Gulf(GGC): "I put it strictly in the Don'tBuy camp."

Portal Player(PLAY): "I think it goes to 26."

Apple(AAPL): "How bout that Apple? Fifty-two-week high."

Dick's Sporting Goods(DKS): "First the Dallas Cowboys [a previous caller reminded Cramer how the Cowboys stunned his Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night] ... and now Dick's Sporting Goods rears its ugly head. ... One good quarter doesn't take away the House of Pain."
