ABM Unit Wins Phoenix Parking Deal

The Ampco unit of ABM (ABM Quote) won a parking contract with the city of Phoenix.

Ampco didn't disclose specific terms, saying only that it was a multiyear, multimillion-dollar contract. The company said it will provide parking management services for more than 7,600 spaces at Phoenix Civic Plaza, a downtown convention center.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with the City of Phoenix to provide parking management solutions for one of the Southwest's premier meeting destinations," said Ampco System Parking President Thomas Barnett. "Our commitment to enhancing and maintaining parking operations for the Plaza will ensure added convenience and efficiencies for the facility's tenants, employees and visitors."

Phoenix Civic Plaza is "located in dynamic Copper Square and is surrounded by a vibrant, multibillion dollar revitalization effort," the company said. Ampco said the convention center hosts an average of 540 events annually. Ampco runs 1,700 lots and garages in 30 states.

On Friday, ABM dropped 13 cents to $19.63.
