eBay Launches Classified Service

Alex Kazim, senior vice president of new ventures at eBay, is leading what the company called "a small team of entrepreneurial employees" to set up Kijiji.

Craig's List, which operates in 75 cities in the U.S., Canada, the U.K, Ireland, Europe, Australia, Asia and Brazil, is run by a staff of about 18 employees. Its revenue comes largely from paid listings by companies posting job notices on the site.
