Chordiant Software(CHRD Quote) was one of the worst-performing Nasdaq stocks Friday after the company missed third-quarter earnings and license-revenue targets. Chordiant was downgraded by several firms Friday, contributing to its 19.9% decline after last night's profit shortfall. Adjusted earnings were 1 cent a share in the quarter, 4 cents short of estimates. The company makes marketing software. Its shares lost 61 cents to $2.46.

Shares of @Road (ARDI Quote) rose 40% after the company posted third-quarter financial results that were better than expected.

The wireless productivity solutions company earned 5 cents a share on sales of $19.1 million. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call were expecting earnings of 3 cents a share on sales of $18.4 million. A year ago the company earned 2 cents a share on sales of $16.6 million. For the fourth-quarter, analysts are expecting the company to earn 2 cents a share on sales of $18.6 million. Shares traded up $1.80 to $6.30.

American Power Conversion(APCC Quote) rose 12.9% after the company posted third-quarter results that topped expectations. Excluding items, the maker of power protection systems earned 28 cents a share on sales of $441.7 million. Analysts were expecting earnings of 17 cents a share on sales of $437 million. Sales of InfraStruXure and Smart-UPS products contributed to the solid third-quarter results. Shares traded up $2.20 to $19.28.

Shares of Sohu.com(SOHU Quote) fell 13.6% after the company missed third-quarter sales expectations and warned that fourth-quarter earnings would fall short of expectations. The Internet media company earned 21 cents a share during the third quarter on sales of $25.9 million. Analysts were expecting earnings of 22 cents a share on sales of $27.4 million. Looking ahead, fourth-quarter earnings are expected to be 17 cents to 19 cents a share, below analysts' expectations of 23 cents a share. Shares traded down $2.63 to $16.75.
