Intel, the top chip supplier to China, drew 12% of its global revenues or $3.7 billion from China in 2003.
The Semiconductor Industry Association, which praised negotiators for resolving the dispute, said China is now the world's third-largest market for semiconductors and is projected to be the second-largest market by 2010. "With China being the fastest-growing technology market, the commitment of the Chinese government to work this issue in the international standards community is an important one," said Rhett Dawson, president of the Information Technology Industry Council, a trade group whose members include Dell (DELL), Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) and IBM (IBM).TheStreet Premium Services
