Invesco Gets Charged With Civil Fraud

 

Invesco is charged with violating antifraud provisions of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 -- and Cunningham is charged with violating or aiding and abetting Invesco's violations. Invesco and Cunningham are also charged with filing false or misleading registration statements with the SEC. The complaint "seeks permanent injunctions against [Invesco] and Cunningham, disgorgement of their ill-gotten gains plus prejudgment interest, and civil penalties."

The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
