AOL Sees Subscriber Losses Slowing

 

Adding to ongoing speculation about the balance of power between programming networks and cable TV system operators -- especially in the wake of Comcast's (CMCSA Quote) elevation as the nation's largest cable operator -- Bewkes sought to dismiss speculation that Comcast had gotten the upper hand in a recent deal to continue Comcast's carriage of the AOL Time Warner-owned channel.

Responding to questions from Goldman Sachs analyst Anthony Noto, Bewkes said fees for carrying HBO went up for Comcast.
