Treasuries, like stocks, didn't attract much buying interest Tuesday, and the government's fixed-income securities were all losing ground in afternoon trading.

The 10-year note was lower by 15/32 to 100 24/32, yielding 4.28%. The 30-year bond was down 23/32 to 104 23/32, with a yield of 5.06%.

Shorter-term notes were also weaker. The two-year was off 4/32 to 100 1/32, yielding 2.22%, and the five-year was declining 9/32 to 99 18/32, yielding 3.35%.
