GE, Credit Suisse Start Infrastructure Fund
Credit Suisse(CS Quote) and General Electric(GE Quote) are teaming up to invest in public works.
The two companies are launching a $1 billion joint venture to invest in "energy and infrastructure assets." The fund will target power plants, pipelines, airports, railroads and toll roads located across the globe. Credit Suisse and GE are each investing $500 million into the joint venture. In recent years, Wall Street firms have begun eyeing infrastructure projects as possible investment opportunities.
