Most investors are familiar with top traders and investors Warren Buffett, George Soros and Carl Icahn. Stockpickr thought it would be a good idea to put their heads together to see what the best high-yield stocks are, based on the aggregated portfolio of their investments.

At the top of the list is a Warren Buffett pick, Bank of America (BAC Quote), which has a yield of 5.1%. BofA has a price-to-earnings ratio of 10 and a P/E-to-growth ratio of 1.4.

Bank of America is owned by another noted trader, Leon Cooperman, who runs a New York-based $4.5 billion hedge fund, Omega Advisors. Cooperman, who was a former general partner of Goldman Sachs, also owns 3M (MMM Quote), which has a yield of 2.1%, and Nokia (NOK Quote), which yields 1.3%.

The highest-yielding stock for George Soros is Weyerhaeuser (WY Quote). This forest products company pays out 3.4% and just received a favorable ruling in the Paragon case involving adequate disclosure of its diaper business. The stock has a P/E of 11 and a PEG of 6.7.

Additionally, Weyerhaeuser is included in the portfolio of the Tocqueville (TOCQX) fund, a Morningstar five-star-rated open-end fund that has had an average annual return of 18% for the last three years. Tocqueville also owns Murphy Oil (MUR Quote), which generates a yield of 1.1%, and Newmont Mining (NEM Quote), which pays a yield of 0.9%.
