Jim Cramer's 'Stop Trading!': Buy WellPoint

Stock quotes in this article: WPT

Buy WellPoint (WPT Quote), Jim Cramer said on CNBC's "Stop Trading!" segment Wednesday.

"I would buy WellPoint here," Cramer said. "They are obviously oversold. ... I cannot believe that WellPoint will be lower by the end of the year." He said he prefers the company to Humana (HUM Quote).

Cramer also told viewers Joy Global (JOYG Quote) is a stock to watch, but warned that it's priced for perfection. "I was going to do Joy Global for 'Mad Money,'" Cramer said, but "I couldn't get around the idea that I'd be buying at its 52-week high." He said that in this kind of market, investors either have to bottom-fish in companies like WellPoint or buy a stock with good fundamentals like Joy Global on its high and "get gunshot."

Even though it was down nearly 3% today, Cramer told investors to avoid CIT Group (CIT Quote). "They have a bad student loan portfolio," he said. On the other hand, he quipped, "They are a model of disclosure. If everybody did what they did, we would be able to get out of their stocks much higher. I'm giving the Congressional Medal of Disclosure to CIT Group."
