Honeywell to Retain Four Divisions Because of GE Merger

Honeywell(HON Quote) will retain four businesses previously slated for divestiture because the company is being acquired by General Electric(GE Quote).

The company will retain the friction materials, automotive consumer products group, U.S. security monitoring and pharmaceutical fine chemicals businesses.

In October, GE agreed to acquire Honeywell, a diversified technology and manufacturing company, in a transaction originally valued at about $45 billion.
