Global Crossing Rises in NYSE Debut

Global Crossing(GX Quote) was up 3.5% by midmorning. The fiber-optic network company began trading on the New York Stock Exchange this morning after moving from the Nasdaq. Palm (PALM Quote) was down 4.7%. It replaced Global Crossing in the Nasdaq 100 Index.
