Safeguard Scientifics Unit Nextron Files for IPO

Nextron Communications, the management software making unit of Internet holding company Safeguard Scientifics (SFE Quote), filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission to begin trading publicly.

The number of shares and the price of the initial public offering hasn't been determined. ING Barings will underwrite the IPO.
