Costco's June Same-Store Sales Fall 6%

Warehouse retailer Costco(COST Quote) said same-store sales in June fell 6%, while total sales fell 4% to $6.88 billion from $7.15 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expected Costco to report a same-store sales decline of 6%.

Costco said Thursday U.S. same-store sales in June fell 6%, while international sales declined 3%.

Same-store sales in June rose 1%, excluding gas deflation and foreign exchange.
