Sara Lee Names New General Counsel

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (AP) — Food maker Sara Lee Corp. said Tuesday it promoted Brett Hart to executive vice president and general counsel.

He replaces Peggy Foran, who left for personal reasons, the company said.

Hart, 40, joined Sara Lee in 2003 as assistant general counsel and was promoted to senior vice president, deputy general counsel and global business practices in 2005.

Shares fell 17 cents to $8.90 during midday trading.
