General Dynamics Gets $20M Contract

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) — Defense contractor General Dynamics Corp. said Monday one of its units received a five-year, $20 million contract from the U.S. Army for a project in Fort Belvoir, Va.

General Dynamics Information Technology will provide information technology services for a project office of the Army that supports Army and U.S. Marine Corps warfighters.

"Seamless operation of hardware and software applications is critical to the success of the warfighter," Zannie Smith, senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Technology's Army Solutions division, said in a statement.

General Dynamics shares fell 70 cents to $59.75 in midday trading Monday.
